Senior M365 Engineer

Job description :

Asenium is looking for a Senior M365 Engineer to work with our team, based in Spain.

In this role you:

The Senior M365 Engineer will manage all aspects of Online operations and functional demands. This requires subject matter expertise in understanding and administering cloud-based solutions within the Microsoft M365 architecture, including backup and archive solutions.

Deliverables we expect:

Administer the Microsoft M365 environment, including MS Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, Stream, and Exchange, as part of the L3 Office Collaboration team.
Resolve L3 Collaboration-related incidents and service outages/degradations, escalating to internal stakeholders or external suppliers as needed.
Proactively identify and resolve potential client-impacting issues in the M365 environment.
Monitor the performance and capacity of M365 services and solutions.
Adhere to HW/SW Life Cycle Management processes to ensure an up-to-date service platform.
Engage in the engineering phases of backup software and related storage solutions delivery, including planning, design, build, testing, and transition to operational support.
Provide input on performance management and capacity planning for backup infrastructure and related processes.
Monitor the production environment and take corrective action as needed.

The ideal candidate

In-depth understanding of Microsoft M365 administration, including SharePoint Online, MS Teams, OneDrive, Stream, Microsoft Power platform, and Azure components and services.
Wide experience with backup and archiving tools.
Storage and backup technology-related certifications or training are highly desirable.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong user and customer service background.
Strong analytical and organizational skills.
Self-starter and highly motivated with a strong team spirit.
Fluent in business English with strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Good understanding of Agile methodologies, quality processes, and best practices for maintaining information security.
Ability to handle confidential and sensitive company information responsibly.
Competent in technical writing and documentation, able to translate technical jargon into layman’s terms.
3-5 years of experience administering an M365 environment, including MS Teams, SharePoint, and OneDrive.
Extensive hands-on experience and technical understanding of storage backup and archive solutions.
Experience in other functional roles, such as architect, capacity planning, and server builds.
University degree in computer science or equivalent.
